is a Senior Design Lead at IDEO. After 20 years making films, Dav joined IDEO initially as a Creative Resident - a creative exchange designed to share best practices, insights and creative processes between IDEO and creative professionals from far afield. He has recently signed up as a full-time IDEOer. Some of the projects he’s worked on at IDEO include: designing a prosthetic limb, the future of vision, a hybrid physical and digital game to help children learn programming skills, a medical app for HIV positive youth that increases adherence to their medications, a new food product, and “redesigning” the religion, Judaism.
Dav began his career designing interactive experiences (real-time interactive theater projections, auto-editing films, and CD/DVD interactive design) before moving on to linear storytelling for films and commercials. But his favorite projects are those that combine interaction and storytelling to imagine the future, such as his work on films like Avatar, Iron Man, and Transformers, in which Dav has led teams of artists and technicians to conceive, design and execute pioneering and award-winning user experiences (UX).
